LiAngelo Ball certainly isn’t the player that his two brothers are but he’s still a well-known name around the league. After going undrafted in 2018, Ball spent part of last season on the Oklahoma City Blue practice squad.
Heading into training camp this offseason, Ball was given his first shot on an NBA team with the Detroit Pistons signing him to a non-guaranteed camp deal. Through Detroit’s first two preseason games, Ball didn’t see the floor.
On Sunday, shorty after that second consecutive game without playing, James Edwards of The Athletic announced that the Pistons would be waiving Ball.
LiAngelo’s brothers Lonzo and LaMelo play for the Pelicans and Hornets, respectively. For now, it appears as if the middle Ball brother will be without an NBA team.
