According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Lakers canceled a scheduled practice after guard Talen Horton-Tucker entered League health and safety protocols Tuesday.

Horton-Tucker could miss games due to virus-related concerns after posting a 19-point and six-steals performance in the Lakers’ 106-94 win against the Magic on Sunday.
The League is currently dealing with a spike in cases after the NBA announced that Chicago’s next two games would be postponed as the Bulls deal with 10 players being in virus protocols. On Tuesday, multiple reports came out that the Nets were dealing with an outbreak themselves. Toronto Raptors exec Masai Ujiri was put into protocols last week after testing positive for COVID-19 as well.
The NBA postponed 32 games last season due to virus concerns but have postponed just two this season. Per Woj, the League says that 97 percent of their players are vaccinated, and 60 percent have received a booster shot.
Per League insider Shams Charania, the NBA ruled that unvaccinated players can’t play road games in Toronto per Canada’s health and safety policy. Only fully vaccinated individuals are permitted to enter the country. Shams also reported that any unvaccinated players that can’t play road games against Toronto are subject to fines and suspensions.
