Kevin Durant is going to play basketball again, as he’s expected to suit up to face the Miami Heat on Thursday in Brooklyn, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Durant has been out since January 15 after suffering a sprained MCL in his left knee.
This revelation comes days after Nets Coach Steve Nash said Durant was ‘three games away,’ from returning to action. The Nets social media team made it official by welcoming their superstar player back with a simple message:
The Nets have had a 5-16 record since their superstar went down midway through January, falling from second place in the Eastern Conference at 27-15 to eighth place at 32-31.
It’s time for Brooklyn to turn up again, and it’ll be a good test for KD to face off against the top-seeded Miami Heat (41-21) at 7:30 pm EST in Barclays Center.
