Even at age 33, Kevin Durant continues to be one of the best players in the entire NBA. In fact, he’s continuing to find ways to break records and make history.
Following a 29-point performance over the Detroit Pistons, Durant become the first player in Brooklyn Nets history to score 20+ points in first nine games of a season.
Through those nine games, he averaged 28.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest. That was good for the most points per game in the entire NBA to that point.
Even without Kyrie Irving and with James Harden struggling at times, Durant continues to elevate the Nets. As they continue their title aspirations, it’ll take a healthy and productive Durant to get where they want to be.
Coming off of numerous different injuries, Durant continues to shock the world with what he’s able to accomplish.
