After going undrafted back in 2018, Kendrick Nunn has had an exceptional NBA career. Making his name known around the League as a member of the Miami Heat for the past two seasons, he has started in 111 games over that span while averaging 15.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.9 rebounds per contest.
After signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, it’s not offense that Nunn is most ready to provide, it’s defense.
“I’m real tenacious on the defensive end. I take pride in playing defense, so that’s something I pride myself on and do very well,” said Nunn at a recent press conference.
Standing at 6-foot-2, Nunn is undersized in the modern NBA, but still has the ability to be a plus defender. On a team like the Lakers, scoring won’t be an issue considering the amount of offensive talent they’ve put together.
With that in mind, this defensive mindset Nunn has is perfect, as that could be the key to him getting the most playing time he possibly can.
