It was reported over a month ago that the Golden State Warriors want to extend Jordan Poole’s contract for four more years. You know precisely why if you’ve watched any Warriors games since Stephen Curry went down.
Since Curry exited the lineup on March 16, Poole has averaged 27.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 39.8 percent from deep. The former Michigan Wolverine has been on an absolute tear, as the last time he failed to reach the 20-point mark was during a March 1 loss to the Timberwolves.
Missing only six games this season, Poole has been a staple for the Warriors all year long and has scored the second-most total points for the Dubs with 1,346. His 203 made three-pointers thus far have surpassed his sophomore mark of 97 by a considerable margin.
Poole and the Warriors face the Lakers on Thursday, the Spurs on Saturday, and the Pelicans on Sunday before heading into the postseason.
