John Wall has been one of the better points guards in the NBA since he entered the league. However, he’s had injury trouble over the past couple of years, resulting in his last regular season game being in December of 2018.
After being traded to the Rockets earlier this offseason, Wall took the floor in Houston’s first preseason game. This was his first time to touch an NBA floor in over 700 days. After the game, he spoke to the media about how great it felt to be back.
“I just knew I was back. I know how much hard work I’ve been through the last two years. It was a surreal moment for me even though it was preseason.”
In this first preseason game, Wall produced 13 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds in just over 19 minutes. While he still awaits his first regular season game in just over a week, it’s a huge confidence boost for John Wall to be able to take the floor in the preseason.
