The Charlotte Hornets have acquired Nick Richards from the New Orleans Pelicans, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Richards was selected with the 42nd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
It is currently unknown what the Hornets gave up in order to move into the pick, though it would likely be a future second-round pick or cash considersations.
In his third NCAA season, Richards averaged 14.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He’ll join former Kentucky Wildcats teammate P.J. Washington in Charlotte.
