The Houston Rockets have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran wing Gerald Green, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reports. The 34-year-old missed all of last year with a broken foot suffered in training camp.
Green had enjoyed success with Houston prior to the injury and will look to pick up where he left off in 2018-19, although the organization he’ll be returning to could look significantly different.
The Rockets have hired a new head coach and general manager since Green’s last stint with the Rockets. While he missed the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign, he was still traded in a four-team deadline deal and was subsequently waived by the Denver Nuggets.
This will be the Houston native’s third tenure with the Rockets. The deal he will sign is non-guaranteed.
