Toronto Raptors guards Fred VanVleet and DeAndre Bembry face an NBA suspension after leaving the team’s bench on Tuesday amid an on-court altercation between Raptors forward OG Anunoby and Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder.
VanVleet is set to miss the next regular season game while Bembry will miss tonight’s game against Chicago. Emerging Lakers talent Talen-Horton Tucker also faces suspension, while Montrezl Harrell was fined for their involvement in Tuesday night’s debacle.
The Raptors are now operating with a highly limited roster, as Kyle Lowry, Rodney Hood, Jalen Harris, Patrick McCaw and Paul Watson Jr. are all currently out due to COVID-19 protocols or injuries.
