The Sacramento Kings have already survived one stretch of games without impressive second-year big man Marvin Bagley III. Now, the team has revealed, they’ll be without the 20-year-old for the next few games as well.
Bagley III suffered a left midfoot sprain during Sacramento’s Thursday night contest and he didn’t suit up for the team on Saturday night either. An MRI on the area revealed no structural damage, Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee reports, but he was spotted in a walking boot after the setback.
Bagley III additionally suffered back spasms in the game, prior to the foot injury, so time off may serve him well on multiple fronts.
That may be a tough pill to swallow for the 12-20 team with borderline playoff aspirations but after multiple injuries early in his career, the franchise would be wise to take their time with the 2018 NBA Draft’s No. 2 pick.
