Erik Spoelstra Says Tyler Herro is ‘Becoming One of the Most Skilled Players in this League’
In just seven games, Tyler Herro is positioning himself as one of the best reserve players in the League, working his way into being a way-too-early contender for the Sixth Man of the Year award.
According to StatMuse, Herro leads the League in total points off the bench with 157. Carmelo Anthony ranks second, 25 points behind Herro with 132. Herro’s production this season has been spectacular, reaching career-highs in nearly every single statistical category.
“You’re talking about somebody who’s becoming one of the most skilled players in this League,” head coach Erik Spoelstra said via Sports Illustrated

Herro, who is currently averaging 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, is already getting his much-deserved flowers so early in the season. He and the Miami Heat (6-1) will take on the Boston Celtics (2-5) on Thursday.
