Dwyane Wade On Anthony Edwards: ‘I Would Love To See Ant-Man Set A Higher Bar Than I Have’
Anthony Edwards was the No. 1 overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2020 NBA Draft. Being the first overall selection comes with high expectations, but Edwards has risen to the occasion.
He leads all rookies in scoring to this point and has earned a spot in the starting lineup for the Timberwolves. Edwards is currently averaging 14.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.
Edwards recently spoke to The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski and talked about how he watches Dwyane Wade film quite a bit to add new pieces to his game.
“He’s one of the greatest shooting guards to ever play so if I can mimic him…”
Wade is a fan of Edwards and went to Twitter to express his approval of his game and wished him the best of luck.
Anthony Edwards clearly has high expectations for himself looking up to guys like Dwyane Wade. As he continues to develop, he could become the best player on the Minnesota roster in a few years.
