The Phoenix Suns have carried their bubble momentum into the 2020-21 season after the acquisition of Chris Paul. After a recent game-winning shot by Devin Booker, the Suns have improved their record to 11-8, good for fifth in the Western Conference.
After the game, Booker was asked what its like playing alongside a veteran like Paul and how they’ve been able to feed off of each other. Booker’s answer was perfect, talking about how they both push each other to be the best that they can possibly be.
“Iron sharpens iron. We both hold each other accountable. We both have that similar approach where we want to win at all costs…I’m learning from him every day.”
Paul and Booker have been one of the most dynamic backcourts in the NBA this season. Paul has been mentoring and pushing Booker to bring him to another level, making Phoenix a legit playoff team. Devin Booker, just 24 years old, will benefit both now and long-term playing alongside a Hall of Famer like Chris Paul.
