Knicks 107 (17-19), Hawks 101 (21-15)
With 23 points apiece coming from Carmelo Anthony and Arron Afflalo, plus a 17-point, 11-board double-double from rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis…the New York Knicks had this game in the bag. NYK had a lead as large as 16 points during the contest @ ATL, and managed to survive a comeback attempt.
Bulls 117 (21-12), Bucks 106 (14-23)
Jimmy Butler was at it again for the Chicago Bulls as they played host to the neighboring Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. Jimmy dished out a season-high 10 assists to accompany his game-best 32 points. Pau Gasol added in a 26-point, 11-board double-double, and Derrick Rose finished with a sweet 16 points to lift Chi-Town to victory without ever trailing once. And hitting 100% of their FT attempts? Not bad, Bulls.
Mavericks 117 (20-15), Kings 116 (14-21) 2OT
Deron Williams (!), everybody. Along with his game-winning, buzzer-beating 3-pointer to seal the win for the Dallas Mavericks at the end of double-overtime, D-Will totaled 25 points and 4 assists. DeMarcus Cousins filled up the stat line with 35 points, 17 rebounds, 6 steals and 10 turnovers (yikes) for the Kings. His layup at the end of regulation took the game into its first OT, but D-Will’s shot as seen up top claimed the W.
Warriors 109 (33-2), Lakers 88 (8-28)
When a single one of your players scores 22 points in the first quarter, you know it’s gonna be a good time. Klay Thompson tipped off the Golden State Warriors’ home game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a bang, pouring in 22 in the opening period alone. He finished with a game-high 36 points. The other half of the Splash Bros., Stephen Curry, tallied 17 points before having to leave the game a little early:
