Kelly Oubre Jr. is coming off a mixed 2020-21 season for the Golden State Warriors, but that hasn’t stopped teams from expressing interest in the coming offseason.
Oubre could be on his way out of Califonia, Ian Begley of SNY reports that the Dallas Mavericks are “fans” of Oubre. This report comes just a couple of weeks after Marc Berman of the New York Post reported that the New York Knicks are also highly interested in the 25-year-old wing.
Oubre is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and will likely draw interest from across the NBA for his services.
This season with the Warriors, Oubre struggled at times, averaging 15.4 points per game, but doing so on mediocre shooting numbers; 43.9 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from three.
Oubre is capable of hitting a higher percentage of his long-range jumpers, though, shooting a respectable 35.2 percent from three the season before with the Phoenix Suns.
Golden State had a season to forget as a team, finishing ninth in the Western Conference with a 39-33 record but missing the playoffs after losing back-to-back play-in games.
