It’s been quite the thrilling season for the Chicago Bulls (9-4) thus far. The off-season signings of DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, alongside the rise of rookie Ayo Dosunmu have enthralled the city the likes we’ve rarely seen as of late. On Sunday, Billy Donovan continued to grow anticipation in the Windy City, announcing Coby White will make his return to the lineup tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Chicago.

White has been working himself back from offseason shoulder surgery that he received back in June after suffering the injury in basketball-related activities away from the team.
Through his first two years in the League, White has averaged 14.2 points per game while shooting 35.7 percent from beyond the arc. With Ball filling the starting guard position, White will turn to the team’s scoring spark-plug off the bench.
“It’s probably going to take him a little bit of time to get into a rhythm considering he’s been out for so long, head coach Billy Donavan said via K.C. Johnson. “He missed the whole training camp, the whole summer. He hasn’t really played necessarily other than a few occasions of 5-on-5. We’re just going to have to see as it goes.”
Donovan said there is no plan for a minutes restriction at the moment, but that could change come game time. Either way, the Bulls will be receiving a needed production boost from their bench through the rest of the season if White plays up to expectations.
