In the Clippers’ season-ending loss to the Phoenix Suns last week, Patrick Beverley shoved Chris Paul in the back unnecessarily.
After this event in the fourth quarter of Game 6, Beverley was ejected. Following the matchup, he went to Twitter to apologize to Paul for his actions.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Beverley has been given a one-game suspension next season for his actions.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks would go on to report that not only is this one game Beverley will miss, but he will also miss out on the $98,765 that he would have been paid out for playing. This amount will be deducted from his 2021-22 paycheck.
Beverley’s suspension will served during the first 2021-22 regular-season game that he is eligible to play.
