The Brooklyn Nets drafted Jay Scrubb with the No. 55 pick in tonight’s draft. However, shortly after, it was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic that Scrubb would actually be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for Reggie Perry who was selected at pick No. 57.
While it hasn’t been announced exactly what the parameters of the swap were, the Nets were comfortable moving back two spots to take on Reggie Perry.
The trade was the second such move involving these two teams on the evening and it’s still possible that Scrubb and Perry get lumped in with the three team deal that will send Landry Shamet to Brooklyn and Luke Kennard to the Clippers via the Detroit Pistons.
More to come.
