The Portland Trail Blazers are on an impressive three-game win streak, in large part due to the production of CJ McCollum. Through Portland’s first ten games of the season, he’s having perhaps his best season thus far, averaging 28.1 points while shooting .445 from deep on 11.0 attempts per game.
After a recent game-winner over the Toronto Raptors, McCollum told Orlando Sanchez of KGW TV in Portland and other members of the media that he is a killer on the court.
“I’m a killer. Figure out ways to eat. That’s what best describes me. Sharks just go hunt. Don’t worry about things. Never worry about how they get next meal. Don’t worry about anything, that’s how I live my life”.
There’s no question that McCollum is motivated this season. After a disappointing 2019-20 campaign for the Trail Blazers, he has been instrumental in their 6-4 start to the 2020-21 season.
The former No. 10 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft has still never been named an NBA All-Star, but if he keeps up this level of play, that could certainly change this season. Alongside his running mate Damian Lillard, Portland has perhaps the best guard duo in the NBA right now.
