The Chicago Bulls have been one of the most active teams this offseason, continuing to build a playoff roster. While they’ve acquired quite a few players, the Bulls also ensured they continue to develop their young prospects and keep them around.
Earlier this week, Chicago exercised the fourth-year option on guard Coby White, and third-year option on forward Patrick Williams. This results in both players being under contract with the team through the 2022-23 season.
Both Williams and White are among the most intriguing prospects in the NBA and should have major roles with the Bulls this season.
White is a spark plug off the bench, coming off a season in which he averaged 15.1 points, 4.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds per contest.
Williams just suffered a foot injury, but should have a chance to start upon his return. Last season as a rookie, he averaged 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 39.1% from beyond the arc.
These options being exercised weren’t unexpected moves by the Bulls, but will only help them as they continue to build a truly competitive roster
