The Boston Celtics will fortify their frontcourt with the addition of Tristan Thompson. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that Thompson has agreed on a deal with iconic franchise.
After nine seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers who drafted him, Thompson has come to terms on a two-year pact with Boston, worth $19 million.
Thompson averaged 12.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game for the Cavs and will immediately arrive in Boston as one of the team’s top frontcourt options.
Thompson earned $18.5 million in 2019-20, the final year of a five-year pact he signed with the team back in 2015.
