On Wednesday night, the Washington Wizards were dealt a tough 109-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors, and Wizards’ star Bradley Beal had praise for the opposing team after the game.
Beal praised Raptors’ head coach Nick Nurse for his defensive schemes following the loss on Wednesday night. Beal finished the game with 25 points and seven assists but did so on 8-for-18 shooting.
“Coach Nurse is always an interesting coach. He always has some junkyard defense to throw my way and make things difficult,” Beal told reporters, including NBC Sports’ Chase Hughes.
The Raptors, thanks in part to former NBA Coach of the Year Nurse, are off to a hot start this season, sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 6-3. The Wizards have also been good to start the year with a 5-3 record.
