Just a few days ago, it was announced that Kevin Durant would miss a handful of games due to contact tracing protocol related to COVID-19.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics will be in a similar situation with several of their players having to quarantine and miss play for at least seven days. Robert Williams, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams will be at risk to miss up to five games.
Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe later reported that Robert Williams is the only player of the group who actually tested positive, meaning that Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams will be out due to contact tracing protocols.
This news comes after an impressive three-game win streak from Boston. Over the next week, the Celtics will match up against the Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and the Orlando Magic twice. The next week will be a true test for the Celtics and the depth of their roster.
