The Memphis Grizzlies and the Boston Celtics agreed to a deal that will send recently acquired Memphis forward Juancho Hernangomez to the Celtics. In exchange, the Grizzlies will receive guards Carsen Edwards and Kris Dunn. The two teams will swap 2026 second-round picks.
The deal can’t be finalized until September 15, when Dunn can be eligible to move after recently being traded to Boston in a separate deal last month.

Hernangomez was acquired by the Grizzlies a week ago from the Minnesota Timberwolves with guard Jarrett Culver in a separate deal for Patrick Beverley. After signing a three-year, $21 million contract last offseason with the T-Wolves, he averaged 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds. He injured his left shoulder with the Spanish national team while preparing for the Tokyo Olympics and Minnesota forced him off the team.
Dunn missed most of last season because of injuries after signing a two-year deal with the Hawks last offseason. Boston acquired him last month as part of a three-team deal with the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings by sending center Tristan Thompson to the Kings. The Celtics also received center Bruno Fernando from Atlanta in the transaction.
Edwards has averaged only 4.0 points in 31 games last season since getting drafted in 2019.
