Though sidelined with ankle and foot injuries since December, Oregon Ducks big man Bol Bol has decided to declare for the 2019 NBA Draft, Nick DePaula of ESPN reports.
Bol Bol impressed during his time on the court in his first and only NCAA season averaging 21.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. The 7’2″ pivot sits in the No. 9 spot on Tankathon’s NBA Draft Big Board, an intriguing blend of size and pedigree thanks to his iconic father, Manute Bol.
The 19-year-old Bol has hired CAA to be his representative firm in preparation for the forthcoming professional career but he won’t necessarily be able to participate in pre-draft workouts prior to the withdrawal deadline.
In January, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Bol won’t be able to resume basketball activities until the summer due to foot surgery. That recovery, and injury concerns in general, could impact Bol’s stock on draft day.
