LeBron James just led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA title—Cleveland’s first sports championship since 1964. It’s his third NBA title, but it probably means the most, since he did it for his hometown, The Land. And boy was James spectacular in the 7-game series. With his team down 3 games to 1 and facing elimination, Bron went on an absolute tear. Back-to-back 41-point games and then a triple-double in Game 7 to cap things off. Sheesh!
King James led the 2016 NBA Finals—as in, both teams—in the following statistical categories: points (29.7), rebounds (11.3), assists (8.9), steals (2.6) and blocks (2.3). He joins Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan and Shaquille O’Neal as the only players with 3 Finals MVP trophies (he’s still a few behind Michael Jordan, who won 6 of them thangs). Salute, LeBron.
