Outside of a bogus Klay Thompson rumor, the early trade talk around the NBA has been whether or not DeMarcus Cousins will be moved out of Sacramento. Earlier this month, Shaq, who is a minority owner of the team, said that he was hearing the Kings may be looking to trade to the talented big man. Right after Shaq made his comment on TNT, an anonymous Western Conference GM said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Cousins is out in “three months, tops.”
Cousins has been the subject of trade rumors for the past two seasons, but longtime NBA reporter Jackie MacMullan is now reporting that Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé does not want to move the superstar.
More from CSN Northeast:
I asked about Cousins just recently again, and Vivek Ranadive, the owner of the Sacramento Kings, does not want to trade DeMarcus Cousins. And so as long as that’s the case, all this talk is just that. It’s talk.
The Kings currently sit at 6-9 and Cousins is putting up monster numbers with 27.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
