After getting blown out by the San Antonio Spurs on opening night, the Golden State Warriors have won two straight, but neither win has been convincing. Last night against the Suns, the Dubs won a tightly-contested, physical game 106-100 and after the game Draymond Green said that he has noticed teams are trying to get physical with the Warriors.
From Monte Pool and CSN Bay Area:
“Definitely. Definitely, he said Sunday, after a 106-100 win over the Suns. “Teams are trying to punk us. It’s fine. We’re not going to get punked.”
Kevin Durant, who dropped 37 in the win, also said that the Suns were trying to get Golden State out of its offensive rhythm by playing physical:
“They’re going to come at us physically. We took it tonight. That team was pressuring us to try to get us out of stuff. We kept moving. We had a nice pace.
“You can talk all you want. You’ve still got to play.”
The Warriors play Damian Lillard and the Blazers tomorrow night before Thursday’s highly-anticipated matchup with the Thunder.
