Midway through the second overtime of the Houston Rockets’ 132-127 win Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green kicked up his leg and made contact with James Harden’s noggin.
Green couldn’t believe he was whistled for a Flagrant 1 foul on the play.
“The thought that would be a flagrant never crossed my mind,” Green said.

Per the SF Chronicle:
Green was assessed a Flagrant 1, Harden hit both free throws and the Rockets scored on the ensuing possession to seize a six-point lead. In Houston’s 132-127 win over Golden State at Oracle Arena, that misplaced leg by Green was pivotal.
“The referees “are going to do what they want to do regardless of what I think,” Green said. “There were other calls that could’ve been called flagrant, too.”
“Yeah, it was,” he said, responding to a question about whether it was difficult to figure out how the referees were calling Thursday’s game. “But they’re the best in the world.”
