DeMar DeRozan cashed out over the summer and made the Raptors front brass look smart by dropping 40 points in Tornto’s home opener against the Pistons. DeRozan showed off his sweet mid-range game and strength getting to the rack as he shot 17-27 from the floor.
“He was playing unbelievable, lights out,” Kyle Lowry told CBC after the game.. “Some of the shots he was making I said to myself a few times ‘Wow.’ That was an impressive game by him, man.
“He put himself to a higher standard, he’s got to average 40 now,” Lowry added.
