It’s been nearly 18 months since Klay Thompson last hooped in an NBA game on account of a right knee injury. Now, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports, the All-Star wing could be sidelined further with a torn Achilles.
News broke earlier in the day that Thompson had sustained a heel injury but the suspicion that its his Achilles significantly impacts the timeline for a potential return.
The rehabilitation process for an Achilles tear could easily take Thompson through the 2020-21 season meaning that we may not see him in action until the 2021-2022 campaign.
Thompson will undergo an MRI and more details will be revealed when that happens.
