The Golden State Warriors continue to hold out Stephen Curry due to a bum right knee—head coach Steve Kerr says the MVP is “doubtful” for Game 4 Monday night in Portland.
The defending NBA champions currently lead their second-round Playoff series with the Trail Blazers 2-1.
Curry’s status will be made official after he goes through the pregame shootaround.
Per the Bay Area News Group:
“I would just say he’s doubtful for tomorrow, but he’s slowly and surely making progress,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
“He looked pretty good following what he did yesterday in terms of movement, and conditioning’s going to be an issue, but hopefully he can get more and more work, and we’ll see how he comes up tomorrow in terms of getting a night’s sleep coming off the workout,” Kerr said.
Asked if he would have to monitor his minutes if Curry can play, Kerr said, “We’re hoping to have that problem. That’ll be good to have to figure that out.”
