Several teams across the NBA have suffered from outbreaks of COVID-19 in their locker rooms, and on Thursday, the Sacramento Kings joined that list.
On Thursday, The Atheltic’s Shams Charania reported that the Sacramento Kings are experiencing an outbreak among a “handful of total players entering protocols along with several more staff members.”
According to Charania, a few Kings members have already entered into the league’s health and safety protocols, including staffer; De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, Alex Len, and interim head coach Alvin Gentry.
Although he plays for the Kings’ G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, Louis King also entered protocols per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
This season, the Kings are far from the only team to have an outbreak problem. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers have four players in the League’s protocol after Malik Monk cleared protocols Thursday night. The Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets reached experienced outbreaks of their own in recent weeks.
The Kings’ next game is Friday night at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.
