After the Washington Wizards excused Rui Hachimura from training camp for personal reasons, the young forward has not yet practiced with the team. According to reporter Quinton Mayo, he “hasn’t been in the practice facility at the same time as his teammates” since he arrived in Washington on Oct. 11.
However, according to Troy Haliburton of The Washington City Paper, a front office source revealed that Hachimura has been coming to the practice facility and is “progressing daily.”
“Rui is progressing daily and comes to the facility regularly. He is working on conditioning and putting in court time – all part of a return to play plan that Wes refers to each time asked.” – A front office source with DIRECT knowledge of Rui’s situation with the Wizards.
