Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst.
Jokic, who’s been asymptomatic, is currently in Serbia and his trip back to the United States to complete the 2019-20 NBA season has been delayed. He’ll reportedly be cleared to fly to Denver within a week.
With training camps set to begin July 11th at the ESPN Sports Complex in Disney World, teams have begun the testing process and are bracing for the results.
Jokic is averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game this year. Denver is the No. 3 seed in the West with a 43-22 record.
