Walker walks into Dallas midseason after he waited for his next opportunity to play following his rough exit from New York after the Knicks traded him to Detroit on Draft day. Walker’s tenure with the Knicks ended due to some trouble getting on the court and being unable to fit head coach Tom Thibodeau’s vision for the team on the court.
Walker has averaged 19.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game on 41.8 percent shooting from the field and 36.0 percent from beyond the arc over his 12-year career.
