Anthony Edwards is a prime candidate to enter superstardom as he enters his third season in the NBA. Last season, Edwards led the Timberwolves to the playoffs and had made it clear that he thinks he’s knocking on the door of “the best player conversation.”
Edwards has proven that his self-confidence is more than just words this offseason. T-Wolves beat writer Jon Krawczysnki reported that he’d been told that Ant-Man has looked like a “monster” during offseason workouts.
“I’ve had multiple people just say that he looks like a monster,” Jon Krawczynski said. “We will see what happens when the lights come on when training camp comes in, and the games get going. I have heard a lot of really rave reviews about how Ant is looking.”
Since the Wolves drafted Edwards no. 1 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, he’s injected a high level of confidence and swag into the organization. Not only has he played at a high level as a two-way stud, but he’s become a media darling for his funny quotes and amusing stories. The reports of Edwards looking like a “monster” came as no surprise, the third-year guard out of Georgia has improved every year he’s been in the League.
Hearing this report should make Edwards and T-Wolves fan excited to see how he performs and helps Minnesota improve upon their first-round exit to the Memphis Grizzlies. After the addition of Rudy Gobert, the Wolves have a chance to be a dangerous team.
