Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Andrew Wiggins is expected to be named the NBA’s 2014-15 Rookie of the Year on Thursday. That’s via multiple media reports, including the AP and Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports via Twitter:
As expected, Timberwolves swingman Andrew Wiggins will be named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year tomorrow, a source said.

Wiggins, the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, averaged 16.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while playing all 82 games this season. Perhaps his most impressive stat is that he played upwards of 39 minutes per game during his rookie season.
Others in consideration for the award were undoubtedly Sixers’ big man Nerlens Noel, Chicago’s Nikola Mirotic and Orlando’s Elfrid Payton.
