The New Orleans Pelicans announced that Zion Williamsons’ foot had healed enough to participate in basketball activities again.
Pelicans say Zion Williamson's foot is showing improved bone healing. He will now progress to full weight-bearing exercises and basketball activities.

Williamson was set to ramp up his rehab in November after being cleared for full-contact drills. However, he suffered a setback in his recovery in December that took away all his progress and forced him to sit out 4-6 weeks.
Since Pelicans GM David Griffin announced at Media Day that Williamson suffered a fractured foot over the offseason, the former No. 1 pick of the 2019 NBA Draft hasn’t logged any time on an NBA arena this season. With 21 games remaining in the year, it’s unknown if the 2021 All-Star will get to play at all this season. At 25-36 and fighting for a spot in the play-in tournament, the Pelicans could use Williamson.
They are tied with the Blazers for the final spot in the play-in, and both are just two games behind the Lakers for the ninth spot.
