Jason Smith has agreed to a one-year contract worth $4.5 million with the Orlando Magic, according to a RealGM report.
The former Colorado State Ram averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds last year with New York and will help strengthen Orlando’s frontcourt. Smith was a first-round pick by the Miami Heat in 2007, stopping in Philadelphia and New Orleans before his most recent stint in New York. Smith shot a career-high 35.7 percent from three-point range last season with the Knicks.
