The NBA will permit teams to convert two-way players and sign eligible free agents to their rosters ahead of the resumption of games at Disney World. This transaction window, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports, will open on June 22.
All 30 squads will be eligible to shore up their rosters with additional depth, not just the 22 teams whose seasons will continue in Orlando. The necessarily unconventional approach gives all teams the opportunity to improve, whether in preparation for the playoffs or offseason.
A total of nine teams have a roster spot ahead of the transaction window, and seven more spots could open up when frozen 10-day contracts expire after the moratorium for those deals is lifted.
