The NBA’s latest coronavirus testing update has revealed that nine additional players have tested positive for COVID-19 between June 24 and June 29.
The grand total of hoopers who’ve now been diagnosed with the illness is up to 25.
The identities of the nine latest individuals have not been published and the league won’t disclose them. This doesn’t prevent the players or teams from announcing the results, however.
In addition to the nine new players who’ve tested positive (out of 344 tested), 10 employees have tested positive as well. All those affect are required to self-isolate until they satisfy public health protocols and get cleared by a physician.
We may see additional positive test results come out in the coming week as players and personnel are expected to be tested every other day. Teams are scheduled to start traveling to Orlando for the league restart in Disney World on July 7.
