As the Miami Heat look to improve after falling short in the recent NBA Finals, the newest member of their team will be Moe Harkless. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Harkless will sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal for the upcoming season.
Wojnarowski also reported that Harkless actually turned down more lucrative deals elsewhere for a chance to play a prominent role with defending Eastern Conference champions.
This will also give him the chance to re-enter free agency next summer, where many more teams are projected to have cap space.
Still just 27 years old, Harkless is a guy who can get it done on both ends and will give the Heat even more three-point shooting. Last season he spent time with both the Knicks and Clippers, averaging 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game on the season.
