Williams, you may recall, was devastated by LeBron’s departure from Ohio in 2010.
Williams, 32, put up 17. 2 points and six assists in 27 games after being traded from Minnesota to Charlotte last season.
Per Yahoo! Sports:
Free-agent guard Mo Williams has reached agreement on a two-year, $4.3 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources said. […] The contract includes a player option for the second season, sources said.
The agreement reunites Williams with Cavaliers superstar LeBron James. Williams played two-plus seasons in Cleveland from 2008-11 and was an All-Star for the Cavaliers in 2009.
Williams’ agreement does not impact the Cavaliers’ desire to still re-sign their own two free-agent guards, J.R. Smith and Matthew Dellavedova, sources said.
