Desmond Bane, who has averaged 22.5 points and shot 58.5 percent from deep, was huge for Memphis earlier in the run, though he sat out the last game due to left ankle soreness. Dillon Brooks churned out 30 points in Friday’s victory over the Phoenix Suns, who own the best record in the NBA. De’Anthony Melton has nearly doubled his season average of points per game (10.8), with 19.4 points scored in this span.
However, It’s been a total team effort, as 10 players have scored in the double-digits multiple times in this seven-game window. This young Grizzlies team has a chance to make history down the stretch with their team one win shy away from matching the franchise-best 56 wins they had during the 2012-2013 campaign.
