After a four-month suspension, the NBA will resume its 2019-20 regular season at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Not all NBA players on existing team rosters will suit up in the unprecedented resumption, however.
Below we’ve published a list of NBA players that have opted out of the Disney World games. This list will be updated if further opt outs are announced in the days ahead.
Although NBA players will forfeit a prorated share of their salary if they opt out of the additional eight regular season games and postseason, they are free to do so without penalty should they choose to.
NBA teams are expected to finalize their rosters on July 1, which means players had to inform their organizations prior to then so that subsequent moves could be made accordingly.
The initial Wednesday, June 24 for such player decisions was treated as a soft deadline and decisions have trickled in in the several days since then.
