When the vultures recently began circling around Scott Brooks, both Kevin Durant and fellow All-Star teammate Russell Westbrook publicly went to bat for their head coach.
Nevertheless, the OKC Thunder relieved Brooks of his duties following seven largely successful seasons Wednesday, and Durant issued a heartfelt statement about the difficult decision.
KD says he supports the move, but stressed just how much Scott had helped his career move forward.
