There’s love and basketball in the air for OKC Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, and his new fiancée Monica Wright of the Minnesota Lynx. Per the Oklahoman and Pioneer Press: “Durant, 24, hasn’t said anything publicly about his relationship with Wright, who plays for the Minnesota Lynx. But mediatakeout.com obtained a picture of Wright flashing her engagement ring. The two have been rumored to be dating since May, and Durant has attended at least two Lynx games this summer, one in Minnesota in late May and another in Los Angeles last week. When a sideline reporter working the Lynx-Sparks game last week began asking probing questions attempting to inquire about Durant’s interest in the WNBA during a live in-game interview, Durant didn’t reveal anything more than a blush. ‘I like women’s basketball,’ a blushing Durant said when asked what brought him to the game. Durant was then asked if he went to see a specific player. ‘I come to see all of them,’ he said. The closest Durant came to revealing anything about his relationship with Wright was when he admitted he is a Lynx fan. […] According to a report from Hollywood Life, Durant proposed marriage to Wright on Saturday, and she accepted. Durant and Wright became friends when they first met at the McDonald’s High School All-American Game in 2006. Durant was a college standout at the University of Texas and Wright played at the University of Virginia. She was the No. 2 overall selection by the Lynx in 2010.”
