The San Antonio Spurs are known for player development and turning careers around. Their next project will be Keita Bates-Diop, who signed a two-way deal with the Spurs per Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
Bates-Diop is still just 24 years old and was a second-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He was traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Denver Nuggets at the trade deadline last season but struggled to find a consistent role on an extremely deep Nuggets team.
Last season, Bates-Diop averaged 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest. Set to enter his third NBA season with the Spurs, Bates-Diop will look to capitalize on his fresh start.
